In two sentences or less, tell us about your accelerator and its objectives?
TheHive is a 5-month program for entrepreneurs, new immigrants, and returning citizens to Israel with tools and mentoring to create and develop their startup in Israel. We assist to scale the startup to the rest of the world. We do not focus on a certain domain and are open for software and hardware projects.
Why is your accelerator program unique? Please describe the benefits of participation in your program.
TheHive helps international entrepreneurs realize their vision while being in Israel. We connect them to the local ecosystem. Through this, they connect to the rest of the world. Our multi-national teams work in shared co-working space and are surrounded by a wide mix of talents and ideas to create a truly international atmosphere.
What is the most difficult part of working with startups?
We focus on early-stage startups, usually on POC stage, with very promising ideas and teams. Since most are pre-seed, rarely seed companies, the most difficult part is to make them lift above the threshold. In order to survive, entrepreneurs need to pivot fast. Our team makes it clear to them, helps with the transition and supports the team morally.

What do you enjoy the most; what do you find most appealing about working with entrepreneurial startups?
TheHive enjoys understanding how much the program, and the team behind it, can affect the future of a small startup. The best reward is the feeling of appreciation from the startups and seeing their gratitude during the Graduation Ceremonies. Bringing the alumni to meet the new participants each time, helps us understand how great and strong of a community that we have built.
Tell us about your success stories; which are the most interesting companies to have participated in your program?
We have completed 15 seasons of TheHive program from two locations in Israel. Each season had successful startups from different fields of activity. The most known:
- Comroads- Comroads enables obtaining video evidence, from any location at any time, at the click of a button. Geo-based video network utilizing the power of a social community of drivers, constantly recording and reporting incidents and events on the road.
- Tevatronic- Tevatronic has created a revolutionary 3D irrigation controller that precisely regulates the depth of irrigation, which reduces the water consumption of irrigated agricultural fields by up to 75% and fertilizer by up to 40%.
- Gooster- Gooster is your intelligent travel buddy, an AI-powered chatbot, giving you the most relevant tips, tricks, and recommendations on-the-go. It is not just about the places you visit, it is all about the stories that stick.
- Pixtier- Pixtier is a platform providing professional 3D map-processing software for urban management and control. The company’s solution allows users to produce high-quality 3D maps from simple aerial photographs.
- Kashklik- Kashklik brings together a community of advertisers and influencers: advertisers create marketing campaigns and pay per click; influencers start promotions and get paid according to the engagement they create.
- Radiomize- Radiomize provides cognitive driving. It is a personalized connected driving experience via a unique cloud-based platform for any car, with top-notch driver profiling capabilities. Enabling “True Eyes” on the road, hands on the wheel, mind on driving gesture control infotainment with predictive driver behavior safety features.

What are the three most important factors startup entrepreneurs should consider when contemplating attending an accelerator?
- If the accelerator is not investing in its participants, could the team sustain itself at least for the time of the accelerator plus at least six months after it is over?
- Is the entrepreneur open-minded to hear the feedback from the mentors of the accelerator and absorb the materials during the lectures? Can they change and evolve quickly, if needed?
- Do they have the right team members for the future development of the startup? Is there any other expert that they need on board?
What else would you like to share?
During the early stage of development, entrepreneurs need an accelerator. We encourage entrepreneurs to use them and choose the ones that receive the best feedback from the graduates.
